Santa Barbara Engagement Session

Do you know that moment when something gives you all the feels? Well, Vivian and Victor were exactly like that! I just couldn’t stop taking snaps for their Santa Barbara engagement session. I knew immediately that I was going to enjoy shooting them since I got her message. When someone writes to you that they think you are the perfect person to portray their love after seeing your portfolio; you cannot help but be excited to meet them!

While I was contemplating locations for an engagement session in Santa Barbara that would complement their emotions, I took their story to heart. Vivian wrote to me that it is the place that defines them. They met in Taiwan from where she originally is from and had their adorable first date in Japan! After their engagement in Rome, they spent their time traveling and exploring the world, how exciting! Having moved so many times (they lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, then in Santa Barbara for about 1.5 years before they moved to LA, and now they are moving again in March); they thought it was ideal to have a Santa Barbara engagement session. Naturally, I couldn’t be happier about it!

It was such a beautiful day that it resulted in many outfit options throughout the whole session. We began our journey exploring the Santa Barbara Public Market with its Spanish architecture and those charming colorful tiles. After that, we continued to the Santa Barbara courthouse, and you can clearly see how vibrant and raw their emotions are, just melting me! Every step with them was a joy to behold, honestly! But I believe our third location with the palm trees by the FunkZone, and the ending at the Santa Barbara Beaches was just MAGICAL. Not only the sunset was dreamy and illuminated their incredible adorable charm, but we even saw whales while walking the famous Mesa Steps! I mean, how more amazing could it get?!

It was an honor to meet Vivian and Victor and be able to do their Santa Barbara engagement session. They were just so playful and natural in front of my lens. Candid, sweet, and amazing were the three words that stuck with me from this experience and I am already looking forward to many more couples who wish to have their memories framed. Are you those next ones? Then I can’t wait to meet you and hear your story!
